Was Patrick Swayze the victim of domestic abuse? Friends claim wife beat him – even when he was dying of cancer

PATRICK Swayze’s wife has vehemently denied allegations she abused her husband throughout their marriage.
Lisa Niemi, 60, has also slammed the claim that she was physical abusive to him even while he was battling pancreatic cancer.
An unknown person, claiming to be an old family friend, came forward and told RadarOnline that Niemi would beat the star, neglect him while his main caregiver his brother Don was away, and that Swayze would be left languishing in dirty clothes.
But Niemi’s spokesperson told the MailOnline: 'It is categorically untrue. It is that simple.'
Niemi was married to the Dirty Dancing star for 34 years before he lost his battle with the disease in September 2009 and they were seen as having one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood.
But she has been forced to deny these allegations after the unnamed friend told RadarOnline: “She (Niemi) would beat on him and he would beat on the walls and furniture. They fought and I covered up a lot of that — they destroyed hotel rooms, cars, their house …. It was abusive.”
The friend added that Niemi would also turn on Swayze during his 21-month cancer fight, and added: “Oh yeah, it didn't matter. She wouldn't hit him with stuff — she would claw at his arms and neck. She would punch and slap him.”
“Cancer bought him from 180 pounds to 90 pounds. She always had to upper hand because he wouldn't hit her. He was adamant about never ever laying his hands on her.”

This anonymous friend also claimed that Niemi was in full control of Niemi’s life and would have power over his finances, tell him which friends he could and couldn’t see and what movie roles he was allowed to accept.
Meanwhile a childhood friend of Swayze, Charlotte Stevens, also told Radar that she urged him to leave Niemi after he reportedly learned she had affairs with men and women.
She added: “I would tell him, ‘You mean to tell me she’s having these affairs and you haven’t stepped out on her?’
“And he would say, ‘No I don’t want it used against me’.”
Niemi’s rep told GossipCop yesterday that her client did know who Charlotte Stevens was.
Swayze and Niemi were married in 1975 and his breakthrough role came in 1987 when he starred as Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing.
Now a household name, he went on to star opposite Demi Moore in Ghost and alongside Keanu Reeves in Point Break.
